Support the struggle for independent
Kashmir
India-Pakistan War and Kashmir
The entire Indian subcontinent, including Pakistan, Kashmir, India and Bangladesh, is becoming the center of gravity of imperialist rivalry between US and Chinese blocs. A place for inter-imperialist struggle to capture market, raw material, strategic military position against each other and exploitable cheap labour power.
Kashmir is one of the most important aspects of this puzzle. On one hand, imperialists want monopoly dominance over the raw material and militarily strategic location of Kashmir. On the other, the imperialist collaborator ruling class of India and Pakistan seek to hide their economic and political plight from the people of their countries through ultra-nationalist madness in the name of Kashmir.
Historically, Kashmir was never a part of India. They have their own rich cultural, linguistic and economic history – the Kashmiriyat. After conquering Kashmir, British colonialists included the territory within British-India. But since the India-Pakistan partition of “British Raj” in 1947, Kashmir remain as an unfinished business.
During colonialism, the struggle of the Kashmiri people against the feudal ruling class forced the local ruling class to become collaborator of British imperialism. Kashmir was one of the independent kingdoms and were forced to choose either Pakistan or India at the time of Partition. After their feudal king decided to join India against the popular demand for an independent state, the people of Kashmir lost their identity in front of India and Pakistani state. Currently, the people of Kashmir are fighting for their Azadi (freedom) from Indian (primarily an agent of the US imperialism) and Pakistani (primarily an agent of Chinese social imperialism) expansionist powers.
Since 1947, expansionist Indian ruling class has worked as an imperialist stooge, using their military to dominate various nationalities across the Indian subcontinent including Kashmir, Manipur, Mizoram, Nagaland, Asam, Goa, Central India, Panjab, West Bengal, Telengana and more. This helps imperialist powers to exploit the local population and natural resources. India’s occupation over Kashmir and the ethnic cleansing of the local population is comparable in its horror to Israel’s occupation and genocide in Palestine.
The ongoing armed struggle for Kashmir’s independence claimed the lives of more than 80,000 people in Kashmir. This small valley is the most densely militarized zone in the world with more than 550,000 Indian armed forces active to Kashmir, destroying every democratic right of Kashmiri people. The people of Kashmir live under one of the most brutal military occupations in the world. They live under an incredibly vast and oppressive surveillance
network, with collaborators and spies in various sections of their society. The utter brutality, the kidnapping of young peoples and subsequent torture these people face is rarely, if ever,
reported by the imperialist media outlets.
Time and time again, the Indian government has continued to deny Kashmir’s self-determination and continuously rejects and suppresses every kind of democratic right they deserve. They have been denied any peaceful means to struggle for their right to self-determination and their struggle, and thus the Kashmiri national resistance, is just and legitimate.
We resolutely condemn Indian expansionist assault on the people of Kashmir and support the Kashmiri desires for sovereignty. The recent Indo-Pakistani war has nothing to do with the interests of the people of India, Pakistan or Kashmir, but rather with the expansionist interests of the fascist governments of India and Pakistan, who are agents of the imperialist powers and are working in the interests of imperialist’s military economies.
While the fascist Modi government and media of India are trying to stir up ultra-nationalist hysteria about Kashmir, they are shamelessly continuing the war against their own people by denying any kind of free press and suppressing the people’s democratic rights. Under the so-called “Operation Kaagar”, the Modi government have launched an offensive against
Indigenous people’s resistance with around 490,000 armed forces, including huge number of Airforce, military and para-military troops.
We are in complete support of the right to self-determination of the people of Kashmir. We oppose Indian or any other expansionist power’s occupation of Kashmir, as well as the war
machinations of US imperialism or any other foreign power. Every nation has the right to their freedom and no country has the right to force people to remain with or within it. Only the people of Kashmir have the right to determine the future of Kashmir.
- Long live the struggle of Kashmiri people against imperialist and expansionist powers!
- Condemn the war effort between India and Pakistan!
- Support resolutely the democratic rights of Kashmiri people!
- Condemn the Indian aggression and occupation of Kashmir!
- Solidarity with the Palestinian and Kashmiri people!
- Withdraw all armed forces including Indian and Pakistan and demilitarise the Kashmir Valley!
- Cancel all Armed Forces Special Power Act from Kashmir!
- Unite against Indian expansionism!
People are driven to unite against their enemies. Sanction and boycott Indian government now.
